You may need to pay for a prescription for several scenarios. Rest assured, you can still apply your pharmacy benefits after you've made your purchase by requesting for direct reimbursement.
Common scenarios in which you may have to pay out of pocket at the pharmacy:
You have not received your member ID card yet
You lost your member ID card or didn't use it
The pharmacy staff made an error when entering your insurance information
You went to a non-participating pharmacy
Required Documents to process your reimbursement request
To ensure your request is processed quickly, please provide the following when submitting:
Pharmacy receipt (showing date, time, and amount paid) – see Sample Pharmacy Receipt
Drug package receipt/label (showing drug name, fill date, and supply quantity) – see Sample Drug Package Receipt
Important:
Receipts must clearly display the fill date and time.
Upload both documents at the time of submission—requests without receipts cannot be processed.
Requests must be submitted within 12 months of the prescription fill date.
Uploading Your Receipts in the THT Member Portal:
Please follow these steps to submit your documentation:
Log in to the THT Member Portal
Select Submit Pharmacy Reimbursement
Click “Upload File” toward the bottom of the screen
Select your file (PDF format is accepted, max file size is 10 MB)
Upload both required documents:
Pharmacy receipt (showing date, time, and amount paid)
Drug package receipt/label (showing drug name, fill date, and supply quantity)
Confirm the files appear in the upload list before continuing
Submit your request by clicking Submit
Tip: Upload clear photos or scans so your request can be processed without delays.
